Topic Title         Are only Geotiffs Georeferenced?
2021-10-15 14:37:25 nbeltramelli I need to use whatever I purchase in GIS, are the JPGs and PNGs GIS ready or would I need to manually create a world file? I'm assuming the Geotiff is GIS ready, but if I can pay less and get the same functionality, I would prefer to do so.

Only the GeoTiff files will be GIS ready.  You may need to create a world file for them, depending on your system.  PNG and JPG files have no geodata embedded.   They would have to be georeferenced or pinned down after download manually.  The GeoTiffs are offered to save that time and effort, which is also why they are more epensive than the standard image file downloads.
